    Hi Karah,

Thanks for featuring my pinecone map ornament – I’d love to see how yours turns out. I’m so very envious of your lifestyle – we spent a day (yes, just one day) on Curacao and loved it. Maybe someday we’ll get to live on our dream island!

First time visitor, here! I found you through your link up with Too Much Time On My Hands.

I am so touched by your acts of kindness! I just may give this a try – thank you for the inspiration!

It’s been a pleasure getting to know you, I’ll be back again soon! :)

Hi, Karah! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. You are the second person to ask me to do the whole “impossibility” thing. I guess now it’s meant to be, but as I told the other blogger, my goal up to this point is to get out of menopause alive! Or without killing someone else! I will find a project that I consider impossible, I guess. (Even though at my age, I have learned that there isn’t a whole lot out there that is truly impossible.)

    • We’re stalking you! haha I think you have to join, I mean, we wouldn’t have any other murder tutorials in the challenge. ;) Totally kidding, don’t kill anyone, but your adventures in this thing called menopause are sure to be entertaining (and educational) for us all!

Karah, Congratulations on this wonderful site!!

The weather back here in Maryland is not bad for January but not as nice as where you are.

Enjoy this time in your life!

Loving the dog silohuettes, Couple questions:
    a) could you have just painted over the floral canvas with gesso or primer and started painting on top of that? (seems like alot of work to remove/flip and restaple)!
    b) just a hint, instead of cutting and tracing, I use alot of carbon’s lovely stuff.

Now only to find myself some Basset hound sillohuettes from the Houndies! :)
And also loved the 1 screw hanging method! Wunderbar! :D

    Hello Karah,
Just wanted to quickly say “hi y’all” and to tell you I love your doggy silhouettes and the way you write! Your blog is inspiring and fun! Plus, it is so sweet to see someone else love their pets so dearly. If you lived in Atlanta, we would be fast friends. :)

    Kindest regards,
    Jacque (aka chihuahua-mama )

Hi Karah! What type of paint would you recommend for the silouette canvases you did? Thanks!

    • Karah says:

Hi Molly! I used left over paint we used for our walls, I think any paint will do … acrylic, craft, latex … they all work well on canvas. :)

  30. Thea says:

Hello Karah, I love your small Christmastrees. I live on Curacao and I was wondering were the picture of the beach was taken where a gentleman walks along the shore. Can you please inform me? I love to work with driftwood and made some nice things. It is not so easy to find nice driftwood. Thank you.

    • Karah says:

Hi Thea! I think the picture you are referring to is at Sint Joris Baai … near where they do the wind surfing. That was a couple of years ago, I will say I went back there last year and hardly found any driftwood. I think it just depends on the tides and currents. But good luck, I definitely miss scouring that island for driftwood!!

  31. Annette says:
